Humans domesticated animals thousands of years ago. Since that time, animals have been subjected to our whims, whether they are good or bad. It is often that these animals do not understand what we want from them, or why we are doing what we do. But nevertheless, there is little they can do against us. Disrupting nature by removing a cat’s ability to reproduce, going against her instinct by not allowing her to lick her wound, all for the idea that this will be better for her in the end. I wanted to show her confusion, map her experience as a direct result of a human will.

It took me a long while to arrive at the concept for my final image. Unfortunately, when I arrived at this idea I had already raised a few rounds of my bowl.
